Papergraphics, the Barcelona-based wide-format print specialist, has revealed it will bring the Massivit 1800 printer to the C! Print trade event in Madrid next month.

Live demonstrations will take place at stand B39 throughout the show to highlight the super-large printing capabilities of a machine that is revolutionising the large format printing market.

The Massivit 1800 has the ability to create bespoke sculptures up to 1.8m high and 1.5m wide, with a depth of up to 1.2m at a speed of one foot per hour. The machine can produce super-large scale models in a matter of hours, opening up new realms of possibilities to a variety of industries including the entertainment, events, retail and signage sectors.

With over 30 years’ experience in producing and distributing high quality media, as well as wide format hardware, Papergraphics signed a partnership with Massivit early in 2016 to distribute its unique new equipment. Today’s announcement, will see the printer make its debut in the Spanish market.

At the Drupa event in May, Massivit revealed that it had received 23 orders for the 1800, with businesses from a variety of sectors seeing the potential of the device. As well as showing the printer in action, during C! Print, Papergraphics will showcase a number of finished models, including a 1.8m high replica of the Easter Island’s silent stone figures.

John Selby, CEO of Papergraphics, commented: “C! Print represents a fantastic opportunity for us to further raise awareness of the Massivit printer and Dimengel – the gel that enable it to produce lightweight, durable objects.

“We’re hugely excited by this machine. The interest from businesses across Europe proves that 3D printing is a growing market and that there is a desire to embrace technology. The Massivit 1800 will change the way marketeers, event managers, the entertainment industry, and many other areas operate. The ability to create super large-scale models in just a few hours is pushing the boundaries of what is achievable and we’re proud to be at the forefront of this new era.”
